Fighting for Nevada’s Future

Hi, I’m Joe Dalia

Across my career, I’ve built over a decade of legislative and financial experience to make the most of the Treasurer’s office and deliver real results for our state and our communities:

  • State Assemblyman, District 29 (Current)

  • Entrepreneur

  • Chief Financial Officer

  • Legal Counsel to Venture Capital Firms, Sovereign Wealth Funds, and other Financial Institutions

  • Economics Graduate

As a father of 3 and the representative for my childhood district, I’ve fought hard in the Nevada Assembly to lower costs and grow opportunities for working families.

As your next State Treasurer, I will continue that fight and together we can make life easier, better, and more affordable for families all across our state.

My plan for the road ahead

  • Affordable Housing

As Treasurer, I will work with the legislature to secure historic funding for the State Infrastructure Bank for affordable housing. I will aim to finance the development of tens of thousands of affordable homes to help drive down costs and give families a renewed chance at the American Dream.

  • Affordable College

The Millennium Scholarship—our state’s single best college affordability tool and a critical promise to Nevada Students—stands at the brink of insolvency. As Treasurer, I will institute a long-term funding solution to ensure we keep our college promise to the children of Nevada.

  • Invest in Jobs and Small Businesses

Our economy is struggling and we need bold action. As Treasurer, I will fight for a historic $300 million in funding to create jobs in our community and provide infrastructure support for small businesses.

  • Modernize Unclaimed Property

As Treasurer, I will modernize how the state manages and returns unclaimed property. Following the models of other states, we will craft reasonable claims periods to create a new revenue source and automatic returns so you get your money back as quickly and easily as possible.

Together, we can make sure home means Nevada for our kids, and for generations to come.
