As Treasurer, I will work with the legislature to secure historic funding for the State Infrastructure Bank for affordable housing. I will aim to finance the development of tens of thousands of affordable homes to help drive down costs and give families a renewed chance at the American Dream.

The Millennium Scholarship—our state’s single best college affordability tool and a critical promise to Nevada Students—stands at the brink of insolvency. As Treasurer, I will institute a long-term funding solution to ensure we keep our college promise to the children of Nevada.

Our economy is struggling and we need bold action. As Treasurer, I will fight for a historic $300 million in funding to create jobs in our community and provide infrastructure support for small businesses.

As Treasurer, I will modernize how the state manages and returns unclaimed property. Following the models of other states, we will craft reasonable claims periods to create a new revenue source and automatic returns so you get your money back as quickly and easily as possible.

As Treasurer, I will fight for affordable housing specifically aimed at seniors, including those with disabilities and accessibility needs, modernize and streamline unclaimed property to get your money back into your hands as quickly as possible, and collaborate with the Attorney General’s office in identifying and assisting in the prosecution of financial fraud and identify theft perpetrated against seniors.
